Crying and Praying for HELP

Some might not know this, but my wife lived here for 8 months
with these people helping them by teaching them and loving on
them. I also went back with her this summer for a couple of weeks.
I found myself realizing that we have to help these people. I read
some of the comments about this video on you tube and to be
honest it makes me angry that people really think this way about
human beings.

They never met these people, they don't see the money, but what
they do see is food, water, goats, cloths, and everything they need
to live and learn about the truth of Jesus.

I'm selling prints from Turkana, these people's home, and the
proceeds goto these people to help them live. If you don't feel
that anything will help, or that you could possibly do anything
to make a difference, if you had dinner at home one night and
gave only twenty dollars that would buy a goat that would save
a family from death for months.

Other ways you could help is going to water missions and telling
them they need to drill there and ask how you could help with
making that happen.

You can goto www.breadoflifeafrica.com and contact ernest
smith and let him know you would like to help, or even travel
to see and meet these people to bring them hope.

Or you can buy a print from me and proceeds will all go to
bread of life. So you will have a beautiful photograph knowing
you are saving these peoples lives. If you have any questions
please email me with the title KENYA,

Beth&Ted

This was a great shoot, the only problem I thought was a problem turned out great...NO SUNLIGHT.
We planned this engagement shoot the first of september, and I forgot to check my sun cal to figure
out the best time for shooting, since I wasn't thinking that in late september the sun would start to
set around 6:30pm. We got to the location at seven on the time we planned and got everyone together
around 7:30. About that time, we had no light and thank goodness I carried my lighting with me.

I've been wanting to do a night-shoot like this for awhile, but never thought I would be shooting an
engagement shoot at night. I feel that Beth and Ted will be happy that these arn't your typical bright
sun downtown charleston photos. I'm pleased to be working with these two, and know that the wedding
will be just as fun, and awesome as they are.

Lighting, and Videography Color

In an online continuing ed class on lighting, and videographer coloring update on 2009 and 2010 blockbuster
hits, I used brian as a sample template. This is what came out using two style vignettes and a color balance tool
by adobe that's free online. www.Kuler,adobe.com . This class is based more for videographers and cinematography.
I on the other hand use this learning ability to apply it with my photography. So anyways, this is what I got in the
final product and recommend using KULER.

North Charleston's Mayor Dinner

The new North Charleston city hall is now officially open after Sunday's grand opening.
The night before Mayor Summey hosted a private dinner party to celebrate this grand
building stating that this is one of the biggest city hall buildings in South Carolina. This
is a place that holds many different offices from the Mayors office to the Tax offices of North
Charleston.

I was very excited that I was able to cover such a special night for the mayor as he thanked
the builders and all the ones involved in this magnificent new city hall. I've only posted eight
of ninety great shots of the night, due to privacy of the guest. I felt that I wasn't given permission
to post the guest on my internet blog even though I own the rights to them, I also want to
respect the individuals and families, although I did post images of the Mayor and few of the
main people involved in this project, after realizing this is a photo that I'm sure will be used
for future publication on the behalf of the Mayors office.

Thank you for reading, and checking out my blog during every post. You're one of the many
reasons I keep shooting.

Deborah Bordeau

For the past couple of weeks I've been able to work with Kip Bulwinkle on a couple of shoots for
Deborah Bordeau's bridal portraits and her wedding. It was
a big learning experience as I worked with different equipment and different lighting
settings than my own. It was a privilege working with Kip's professional company, a
Charleston-based, successful photography business for over eight years.

In the past weeks assisting Karson Photography I've been able to meet some great
people from Charleston to London. With assisting another photography company it's very rare
that you get an opportunity to shoot with your own equipment, that's why this bridal shoot that
I've posted will always be one of my favorites from past bridal shoots, or even fashion shoots that
I've shot, even with the shot with her eyes closed, cause to me it brings out the sweetness of Deborah's
personality.

What's even more rare for me is that I shot a paid event with a Canon MARKll, since I've only
shot with Nikon, even when I worked for Wolf Camera I never could get over the small things of
a Canon.Maybe it was the sound of the shutter, or the color that the sensor brings out in every shot.
Either way I sucked it up, placed my hand on that trigger and opened the shutter.
I just pray that I got the shots that were needed for Deborah and Mark's wedding. To see the
other images of the bridal shot that Kip shot go to

3 years one roll

I'm really excited about this collection. The phrase to best describe this collection is "3 years one roll".
I shot these photos with a yashima 1940s 120mm film camera.

I bought this camera back in 2006 from the original owner from new york. When he gave it to me I
was working for Wolf Camera, He said that this camera would change my life,

I didn't realize until now that it did in a way. One month after I put
it's first roll of film in thirty years of this camera. My life started changing, as photography wasn't really
in my thoughts at that time. Every now and then the passion would come back, and I would pull out the
yashima. As I took these photos in different points with in the three years it tells me a larger story now.
From one of the first shots taken in Augusta, some taken when I was on a date with my girlfriend, now
wife, and some when I was doing my quite times walking the bridge, or chillin on the beach.

I will be using some of these photos at an art show in Philadelphia that I will be at on opening night.
All these photos will be available printed 11x11 for $145.00.
